Southern Exposure’s day of landscape service for community
Throughout the year, Pete Bryant and Southern Exposure Landscape Management look for opportunities to be of service in our communities. August 23, 2014, Westover Church held a family workday for local Morehead Elementary School. Dozens of families came together and lent a hand, helping with the landscape service and to enhance the curb appeal of the school. It included over 80 yards of mulch, plants, weeding, and gardening. It was great seeing people of all ages come together working hard to help beautify this property .
Westover Church is involved with Mendenhall Elementary on other fronts as well. The Good Neighbor Outreach program was designed to come alongside and minister to refugee and immigrant children and families who live close to Westover Church. It’s Westover’s desire to see their neighbors flourish educationally, physically, and spiritually through various ministries designed to meet those needs. Building relationships, learning from each other, and engaging in meaningful dialogue about Christ is the goal.
