Crabgrass (Digitaria Ischaemum)
What does it look like?: Crabgrass runs rampant throughout these parts of NC. Commonly mistaken for Dallisgrass because of its height, texture, and unique clumping appearance.
What causes it?: Its seeds can be spread through various animals or even the wind. But it takes root due to loosely compacted soil.
When does it show up?: Mainly appears Spring-Summer.
Best treatment plan: There are plenty of Crabgrass selective herbicides one can use, but it is a rather hardy weed. Make sure to manually remove the dead weed after it has been sprayed. Call a professional for a free quote.
