 Crabgrass (Digitaria Ischaemum)

What does it look like?: Crabgrass runs rampant throughout these parts of NC. Commonly mistaken for Dallisgrass because of its height, texture, and unique clumping appearance.

What causes it?: Its seeds can be spread through various animals or even the wind. But it takes root due to loosely compacted soil.

When does it show up?: Mainly appears Spring-Summer.

Best treatment plan: There are plenty of Crabgrass selective herbicides one can use, but it is a rather hardy weed. Make sure to manually remove the dead weed after it has been sprayed. Call a professional for a free quote.

How long will it take to get rid of it?: Most homeowners struggle with this weed every single year, it almost inevitable. Work on killing the existing weeds and growing a lush thick lawn so that it can’t grow next year.
